River.

Our hand cart and kids
Chris and Grandpa carried all the kids across the sweet water river

We went on the Mormon Pioneer Trek. It was so cool to see all the places that the pioneers walked, and to learn about the different companies. We liked independence rock, sweet water river and martins cove. Over all the experience was hard work but worth what we all got in return. We would do it again and would tell everyone to go too. we were surprised how well the kids did trekking. we were sure that we would end up with all the kids in the cart. the first day both Zoe and Gracie walk the whole time. the second trek day, Zoe walked and rode in the cart. Gracie fell asleep in the cart the second trek day. Kaylee got really sick from the sun and ended up in a cart the second trek. Tyler and Emily had a fun time hanging out with all the other pioneer kids. We were all excited to wear our pioneer clothes, and the kids looked so cute in them. Thank you Oma for all your help sewing. we are so proud to have walked where the pioneers did and to experience a small small fraction of what they must have lived day after day for months on end. we feel such a humble appreciation for what they suffered to assure our heritage in the Mormon church.
