Summer camp out

Summer camp out

Here are our halloween pictures! We had a fun Halloween. We went to our ward trick-or-treat, and then down to mom's ward trick-or treat. the kids got tons of candy. Mom's ward is really big. Emily dressed up as a devil. Tyler created her own fairy slash princess with wings, it was cute. Kaylee was a scary spider witch. Zoe was snow white AGAIN. lol I thik it's been 3 years in a row. but she loves it. it is her favorite. and Gracie was sunshine bear. She wants everyone to know that she was sunshine bear and her middle name is sunshine. lol. Chris dressed up as someone that had worked all day. (thats just a joke) and I didn't get a chance to get a costume. maybe next year.

The Pioneer Trek 2008

Us at the top of Independence Rock

The Kids standing in front of the sweet water
River. This is where people get baptized in the
River.

Our hand cart and kids
Chris and Grandpa carried all the kids across the sweet water river

We went on the Mormon Pioneer Trek. It was so cool to see all the places that the pioneers walked, and to learn about the different companies. We liked independence rock, sweet water river and martins cove. Over all the experience was hard work but worth what we all got in return. We would do it again and would tell everyone to go too. we were surprised how well the kids did trekking. we were sure that we would end up with all the kids in the cart. the first day both Zoe and Gracie walk the whole time. the second trek day, Zoe walked and rode in the cart. Gracie fell asleep in the cart the second trek day. Kaylee got really sick from the sun and ended up in a cart the second trek. Tyler and Emily had a fun time hanging out with all the other pioneer kids. We were all excited to wear our pioneer clothes, and the kids looked so cute in them. Thank you Oma for all your help sewing. we are so proud to have walked where the pioneers did and to experience a small small fraction of what they must have lived day after day for months on end. we feel such a humble appreciation for what they suffered to assure our heritage in the Mormon church.

We went to Disneyland

Our trip to Disneyland was so fun! We bought a portable DVD player before we left. That was the best purchase of the whole trip. lol. Emily said that her Carmel apple was the best purchase. All the other times we have gone to Disneyland we haven't had a DVD player. I don't know how we survived the drive. this time we thought that we were going to make it all the way there with no puke in the car. Well that didn't happen. Tyler once and Zoe three times. Emily of course was text messaging the whole time.
All of the kids liked the swimming pool at the hotel the best. Tyler finally decided to go under the water. that was a big deal for her. I said we could have stayed home to swim. Kaylee went on all the scary roller coasters, more than once. Even the tower of terror. Which mommy wont even go on. we picked a really good time to go. the lines were not long at all. we waited half an hour at some, and not at all at others. This is the first time that we have gone where all the kids have met the height requirement for the kids rides. It was so fun we all got to go the rides together. in the pass we have had to take turns. The bigger scarier rides, the little kids couldn't go on. but that was OK cause mom hates roller coasters too. California adventure was fun too. they have some bugs world rides and a small water area that the kids love. All the kids loved the snack stands. Zoe always asked for a "food stick with cinnamon" (churro). lol. Oma and Grandpa gave them some money to spend on the trip. Gracie and Zoe both got winnie the poo ears, after we went on the winnie the poo ride. Emily, Tyler and Kaylee bought pins to trade with disney employees. its the new thing going on there. last time we went it was autograph books. Thank you Oma and Pa.
At sea world Zoe got to be a part of the Klyde and Semore skit. she was so cute. she didn't know what she was supposed to say but the cast member worked around it. She got to shake the seals fin. and we all got front row seats. we had so much fun!

She is really excited that she got a lunch number for first grade- and that she will get to eat at school with her sisters.

Zoe's kindergarten field trip

Zoe went to the Dino museum in Lehi for a field trip. mommy got to go with her it was lots of fun.

Tyler

Tyler had a birthday in may. she had a sleep over with lots of her girl friends. we had a scavenger hunt in the neighborhood. they sang and danced, watched movies and made up cheers. we made a big breakfast the next morning. Tyler also went on the 5th grade "big" field trip, to the sand dunes.

Kids out of School for Spring Break

The Kids got out of school for a week for spring break. We cleaned the basement and the garage. The kids were not very happy about it. they said they would rather be in school. but then I told them they could pick something to go do when we were done. they all agreed on the Zoo.

Trip to San Fransisco

sorry it took so long to get this blog up. the cord that hooks my camera to the computer was temporally miss placed. Anyway, I went to San Fransisco to drive home with Chris. I spent a week with him. We took a train to get to San Fransisco from where he was staying. We visited all the piers by the bay. watched all the street performer's, watched the sea lions that hang out on dock K, went to a live aquarium and shopped the shops. It was so fun! We went back a couple of days later to take a boat over to Alcatraz prison. The prison was awesome. the day we went to see the prison, was also the same day San Fransisco was holding the torch run for the Olympics. It was really crowded and there were protesters everywhere. thank you Gabe, Mom, and Mindy for watching my kids.

Kindergarten registration

I registered Gracie for kindergarten today. She still has two shots to get. she is not thrilled about that. I can hardly believe that she will be going to school. I don't think it will really sink in till the first day of school. My last baby going off into the big world. Gracie is really excited. she made me count "how many sleep's" it was til the first day of school. there are roughly 150 sleeps until school starts. that is a long time for a 5 year old to wait. she doesn't understand why she just can't go now like Zoe does. It will be so weird to have all my kids in school. I am looking forward to it, but am sad at the same time.
It also makes me feel old.
